經血暴增 竟是子宮內膜長瘜肉
（健康醫療網／實習記者陳俐臻報導）一名36歲女性從半年前開始，經血量突然大增，幾乎每小時就要更換衛生棉，但卻沒時間就醫檢查，直到出現走路會喘、整天頭暈目眩，甚至疲累到無法上班，才緊急就醫治療。醫師發現原來是子宮內膜長了瘜肉，加上長期經血過多引起貧血所導致。
子宮內膜瘜肉多發生在30至60歲婦女，又以40至50歲居多，目前發生仍不明，但有研究認為，高血壓、糖尿病及肥胖等患者皆屬於高危險族群；高雄長庚醫院婦產部婦癌科醫師蔡景州指出，子宮內膜瘜肉是很小的突起物，表面有微血管，常會使月經不正常出血，或經血量過大等症狀。
醫師蔡景州進一步說明，過去治療上，多以藥物或採外科手術切除子宮，但效果有限且恐會引起無法生育的後遺症，目前已有子宮內投藥系統的新選擇，主要利用Ｔ型裝置在子宮腔內，局部微量釋放0.02毫克的黃體素，有效抑制子宮內膜生長。
臨床上，部分患者在裝入後的前3至6個月，會出現點狀出血，但屬於子宮適應黃體素改變的正常現象，之後就會逐漸消退，不用過於擔心；蔡景州提醒，若發現經期出現異常，且突然大增，就應盡快就醫檢查，才不會使症狀持續惡化，影響健康。
